Megève is one of the oldest skiing resorts in the French Alps and was started by the Rothschild family as an alternative to St.Moritz. It is renowned as the best resort in the Alps for non-skiers. There are restaurants to suit all pockets and many are located around the beautifully preserved medieval centre.
The village is famous for having its wonderful restaurants and the worlds most exclusive health spa the Ferme de Beauté at the hotel Fermes de Marie.
If you love to shop the choice is endless, smart clothing, jewellery, food, antiques and small gift shops.
The spa town of St. Gervais is only a few minutes away from the chalet and offers all the beauty of a small Savoyard market town, with its traditional buildings, rich heritage, baroque church and pedestrian area full of tiny cafés.
We would also highly recommend a visit into St. Gervais to sample the local Savoyard food, pricing will suit all visitors and the quality is unquestionable.
